Derek:

I also found your site by searching for the Pfitzinger plans online. It really is nice to have the plan overlaid on the calendar working back from my goal marathon to the beginning of the plan. By the way, nice call on choosing the plans you chose. I am planning to use the 24-week plan myself to train for my first attempt at a Boston qualifier.

Best of luck to you in your quest to qualify -- I am also trying to qualify for 2009, and I'm trying to do it before I turn 40 (I'm 36 now). Thanks for providing a great service, and thanks also to Mr. Pfitzinger for agreeing to put the schedule online. (By the way, I already have the book!)

This is a great book! Even though I missed an entire week of training 3 weeks out, and did not run the five days before my marathon to let me achilles rest, I PR'd by 3 minutes on a difficult course, following the 55/12 schedule. Being able to print out a schedule with dates is extremely helpful. Thanks Derek!

And I agree, the book "Advanced Marathoning" is a critical resource for anyone wanting to accomplish the training plan.

Great! I have the book and I agree the schedule doesn't make a lot of sense unless you have the book to refer to.
