Chicago Marathon 2007 Training: Week 13

This week was another easy week.  I only ran 10 miles at the start.  I’m still not feeling quite right and the runs are still a struggle.

After running just 10 miles for each of the last 2 weeks, I’m hoping to ramp back up and run 35 miles this week.  I’m on vacation in Trinidad so the weather is a bit more humid, but the good thing is that I have my sister to run with which will provide a bit more motivation to actually get out the door.

Glad to see your back at it! Trinidad ehh? Hot temps and humidity can make it challenging but there’s a saying in Spanish, “Lo que no te mata, engorda”. Translated literally, it means what ever doesn’t kill you, makes you fatter, but the real meaning is that if it doesn’t kill you it makes you stronger. Tougher workouts can mean better results when you race.
I’m really glad to see you back on track. I never heard back from Mike Horn by the way…Hope all is well with him.
