Chicago Marathon 2007 Training: Week 12

Well, this has been a super easy week.  I’ve run a grand total of 10 miles for the week!

I decided to take it real easy and try to rest as I think I’m definitely overtrained.  Even the 5-milers I did this week were a chore.

I’ll be starting fresh on Sunday and will go for a 10-12 mile run and then see if I can get into my new, revised running schedule.

    Hi Derek,
It’s been awhile since I read & posted. I’m glad to hear that your common sense has prevailed. Now,
if I could have only listened to myself, I probably would not have spent the last 2+ weeks without a lick of running (my damn left tibia….again).

Awesome news, Derek. I’ve been worried about you - glad to see/hear that you are on the way back!

What’s up Derek? It’s been aweful quiet over here. I hope all is well.

It’s been tough. I’m going through a period where I just don’t seem to have the energy to run. Distances that used to be easy are a struggle. I’ve taken it easy for the last couple weeks, but I don’t seem to be any better. I plan to push through this week and see how it goes.
