I have an iPod Nano, and haven't had any problems (knock on wood). It might be because I'm using a an armband case for it (from Marware). However, I do perspire quite a bit. I also made the same conclusion about it being able to withstand a little sweat, but if you look at the "<a href="http://www.apple.com.sg/ipodshuffle/specs.html" rel="nofollow">Environmental Requirements</a>" that tells me you shouldn't wear it next to your skin when running. Your body heat will exceed the "operating temperature" and the sweat is definitely higher than the "95% noncondensing" relative humidity specification. Ugh.
