		<description>You just ran double the distance of your previous race at the same pace.  That's always a pretty good job, even if the previous race was in November.  Given the hilly course and the wind (and slightly warmer-than-ideal temperatures), that's a huge improvement over your previous race.  I ran the half this weekend with the intention of running approximately the same pace as I ran an 8-mile race in November.  I was nowhere close - 20 seconds/mile slower, and I felt like I left a lot more on the course for this one (the 8-miler was supposed to be a training run).

If it helps motivate you at all, I ran White Rock for the first time this last December, and the farthest that I had ever run at this point last year was 8 miles - and I didn't ever go farther than that until May or June.</description>
