Travelling Pains

I remember watching a video clip of Pam Reed who is an ultramarathoner where she describes the various pains she gets during a ultramarathon and the fact that it moves from one part of her body to the next.  It seems as though this is the same thing that is hapenning to me, but over a period of days and weeks.

I did my 10-mile run today and I started to get a new pain in my left knee which seems to be the patella tendon.  I was wearing a patella strap on my right knee and I stopped during my run to move it to my left leg.

The good news is that the pain on the outside of my left knee has disappeared as quickly as it appeared.

The pains I have endured since starting running now include:

I’m just glad that the left ITB seems to be OK for now.  Of all the pains I’ve had, that is the one I was most afraid of and most worried about since it could have resulted in my having to stop running for an extended period of time.

Maybe one of these weeks, I would go an entire week without some kind of pain!
